Lynn Jolicoeur and The Pulse: Music

Out of My Comfort Zone

Had an innocent Monday

No crime

Had a beautiful Tuesday

So fine

On a curious new day

I’m looking where I’ve been

Some unusual spaces

A new place to begin

I’m a pebble in the undertow

An ember in the fire’s glow

I’m everywhere I fear to go

I’m out of my comfort

I hear the tempting siren call

Without a net to catch my fall

A wonder that I’m here at all

I’m out of my comfort zone

Looking down the road

Not my crowd

Not my scene

Like I’m living on the moon

Drifting by in a dream

Had an innocent Monday

No crime

Had a beautiful Tuesday

So fine

On a curious new day

I’m looking where I’ve been

Some unusual spaces

A new place to begin

I’m the panic in the aftermath

An eyelash in the razor’s path

A bubble in a fading bath

I’m out of my comfort

No garden in the countryside

No balmy evening Sunday ride

No haven where we can run and hide

I’m out of my comfort zone
